Over the decades, technology has pushed the boundaries in many realms of our lives, making it easier and more convenient. Most of our everyday hassles can be solved with just a click of a button, and often these services are available to us at great speed. Whether it is getting food, groceries & utilities delivered home or paying bills on time, there is an app for everything we do. But too many apps have also cluttered our phones and made it even more chaotic to track multiple things. We all can relate to the frenzy of dealing with multiple service vendors from different apps on a workday.
A single serious Housing Facility Management app can now take care of this and a lot more, in addition to facilitating a safe and secure lifestyle. One can now manage visitors, allow delivery boys to enter our housing complex, communicate with all the members of the housing society and also ensure security of our homes. Moreover, tech also enables residents to do multiple things on one platform. One can raise Service Requests, Pay Maintenance Fee, book facilities in the complex.
Even as Gatekeeping facilities on such apps enable visitors to be checked right at the entry, technology has made sure that one can pre-approve visitors to make them feel welcome or deny somebody without making it awkward. One can also buy, sell or rent a house on such apps, making the house-hunting process easier. Such apps can also find a House Help, with recommendations by the residents of the housing society. Furthermore, the Community Maintenance team can be immediately contacted if there is seepage or a leaking tap. Just uploading a photo will solve your problem as the maintenance team can then look into the issue. Today, technology has ensured that there is no need to even type, for one can speak in any local language, while AI integration translates your words to English.
As technology makes communication between Management Committee, Owners Association (OA) or Resident Welfare Association (RWA) a seamless task, they can devote time to organize festivals and also create awareness about the problems impacting them at different levels. Harboring a sense of community and togetherness, these apps enable residents to share interesting events, stories, news, images with neighbors. Ultimately one can connect with neighbors with similar interests to have discussions, indulge in sports, volunteer work or for pursuing hobbies in the Groups feature.
They can also create polls and gather the opinion of all Apartment residents on any issue or event. Thereby all apartment residents & owners can participate easily in society related decision making. As they collaborate, the residents can unanimously voice their opinions, creating better impact and ensuring their voice is heard not just by management committee but also by government authorities when needed.
However, it is seen that such apps compromise the data security of consumers by sharing it with advertisers. In today’s time, the phone numbers and other such details are often linked to bank accounts, and this can lead to cybercrime, where the residents can become victims without even suspecting a fraudulent activity. Thus, the need of the hour is an Ad-Free, Zero-Spam housing facility management app that keeps the data security of the users at it its core ethos.
In fact, technology should enable users to avail of multiple services without being charged extra for it. That is why a subscription-based model works better, compared to free-to-use apps as they will always be in the grey area where they would either overcharge for essentials or compromise on data security. And the future for housing facility management lies in not just innovating to provide better services to, but also in ensuring complete data security, which can be done by going Ad-Free.
