Facelifts usually make cars more expensive. Renault, on the other hand, is reducing the price of its crossover coupe – but not to the 2021 level.
Renault lifts the Arkana crossover. The coupe-like five-door model has a modified radiator grille with a new brand logo and a choice of black, matt chrome, or dark chrome trim. The French are also rearranging the equipment range and reducing the starting price by 2,100 euros.
The new basic variant is the “Evolution” model for 28,900 euros, which offers, among other things, automatic air conditioning, 17-inch wheels, and an infotainment system with a smartphone connection. However, the starting price was just over two years ago at 28,150 euros.
Other variants include “Techno” and the visually enhanced “Esprit Alpine” model. The drive range remains unchanged, consisting of two mild hybrid petrol engines with 103 kW/140 hp and 116 kW/158 hp as well as the 105 kW/143 hp full hybrid.
The Renault Arkana was presented at the Moscow Motor Show in 2018. The crossover SUV is now on our market starting at just over 28,000 euros. What’s particularly noticeable on the outside are the lowered daytime running lights and the sloping roofline. At the rear there is the typical Renault light graphic.
The higher-slung coupé not only looks elegant, people were also impressed by its performance . During a drive through Franconian Switzerland, the Arkana – equipped with a torsion beam axle and smooth power steering – rolled smoothly through the curved valleys.
